So.
Had a deal agreed with Arnold Cnutybaws Clark. Took 4 days to get the PO from her company and despite telling us the car was kept aside, they sold it to someone else. barsteward.
Now they are telling us they can only supply a factory ordered one and it will take 20 weeks. Apparently they have no way of knowing what cars are coming into stock and they cannot tell us. Clearly the car they sold wasn't a factory order, yet they told us that they won't have any more coming in that aren't. So how the feck did that one get into stock then!??!
They do have a similar one with a worse spec and higher emissions so higher company car tax and they can't understand why we won't take it. We want the fecking car we asked for, not the sh*t version of it that will cost her more!!!!
It's basically... Buy a car from our stock or we don't want to know you.
Unfortunately for mainstream cars like Vauxhall and stuff, they have the market stitched up here and don't need to worry about customer service. Pissed off to say the least.
Back to the drawing board then.

Use a dealer further afield?

Re: £21k Estate Car.... Choices? Opinions?
Contacted a bunch of other dealers down south now too.
None of them seem to be able to get close to the £10k off list that Arnold is offering though. Not sure she can wait 3 months for the factory order.
Grrrrrrr.
The requirement to have a boot that's 1m x 1m without folding down seats is ruling out most things now.
