Der Beast - Take 2

Post by Gareth » Sun Apr 21, 2013 4:50 pm

Finally managed to find another German and another Porker for SE!
Took me a while to find a car that was in good condition with the proper history. So many cars advertised with FPSH...you check them out and find they missed (one one occasion) 5 years of servicing. "But I only did 7k miles in this time..."

Flew down to Gatwick on Friday and drove home....zzzz zzzzz.

Anyway, 2 prev owners, FPSH, Eisenmann exhaust and 40k miles.
Couple of stonechips but I'll tidy them up.
Once off the motorway I really enjoyed the drive. Sounds great and the power delivery is lovely.
Very impressed and can only imagine how good a GT3 or new 991 must be!

I think that you might need a new phone if your screen is showing that its blue Ian.

Not a problem

Blue and Savannah interiors are a trade no - no
hence the question

Does look blue in pics but is black.
Oh and in case Jim's display is dodgy...it's SEAL GREY :D

Greg, car nips on but it's not as ferocious as the Merc but that does have 130bhp more and the mega torque.

Still getting used to the driver position. I feel I sit quite high in the seat. I could be doing with the steering wheel lifting but it only moves forwards and backwards.
Seats are pretty firm.

Good Boy
I thought you'd forgotten years of coaching

Your driving position will need to conform to the " knees bent/arms bent - sitting closer to the wheel
It will feel ok after a while !

:cheers

Gareth,

I thought you would have dabbled in an Evora by now, or are you now only propping up the German economy? :)

I saw it in the flesh today and it is a superb example, however the interior is definitely blue g, are you colour blind?

Or maybe i am.
