On an oil platform in the North Sea, fair enough. In a modern office building it is a plain insult to your intelligence. Its the type of nonsense namby pamby corporate culture that leads to 'caution water may be hot' signs above the, surprise, surprise, HOT water tap

Agreed in that the consequences of an incident in such a remote location are far worse, but there's an element of the same rules filtered throughout a company. Maybe it's less of an issue for me as it's now the norm

we went to deliver furniture to a customer and I wasnt allowed to carry stuff upstairs if i could hold onto the hand rail with one hand.
The guy wasnt impressed that i was walking up the stairs with a 1800 x 1200 desk top in one hand a balance against the side of my head.

This seems like madness to me. They want to buy a new car with tie down points at massive expense when they could have somebody retro fit tie down points for a few hundred quid per vehicle.
Corporate culture never ceases to amaze me, you wouldn’t see that in an owner run business where the people spending the money can take it home if they don’t spend it.

SEAT announced they were dropping the Exeo although there may be stock lying around. What about a Nissan Cashcow, although admittadly I don't know if they have the tie down points but assume it would.

If it's a simple case of bolting in the anchor points, she's welcome to take the anchor points out mine and fit them to hers.

(A3 with anchor points faction

Fit a tow-bar and and buy a trailer for the weighbridge.
Probably too dangerous for those H&S nutters though.

About 2 weeks ago there were only 5 octavia estates of any spec available, no VRSs. Skoda haven't built an Octavia since October as the factory started building Rapides then retooling for the new Octavia.
Yeti boot is tiny, a friend uses one for work but needs to fold the back seats down to fit any kit in the boot.
Exeo list prices all above 21k and is more mediocre than you'd expect.
Subaru not available under 21k.
All doom and gloom me!!!

You said "new estate car". Does that mean new to her or an actual new car? If it's the former then I'd go for a 535D M Sport.
