£52k is alot of money but how many do they really need to sell ? I imagine the car will do more for the brand than it will in raw sales. I wonder how many ice creams the owners will have to sell to pay for it.

Just had a nosey and that appears to be evora and caymen money.

If I had that kind of money and it was my everyday car I would probably go for the porsche. The only way I would plump for the Alfa would be if I owned an ice cream parlour., I didn't mention the exige as it's more of a toy than either the Porsche or Alfa. If I had £60k to spank on a toy the Exige would win out.

Alfa 4C or a V6 Exige, not much of a contest really.

Would have been more attractive to me if they ditched the carbon cockpit and dual clutch gearbox to keep costs down.

It looks very tasty and is without doubt within Lotus (& Porsche) territory so it will be interesting to see how the sales figures stack up, particularly given it is above the top end of Elise money. :?
It will for sure steal some Lotus sales not least from the perspective that it is new/ must have but I do think the Elise needs to be shaping up for a revamp soon as it is, barring a mild refresh a couple of years ago, a 13 year old design

The 4C's limited volume will not help to substantially lift Alfa's global sales, which last year fell to about 100,000 units from 132,000 in 2011, but the car will bridge a product dearth until the brand launches eight new cars between 2014 and 2016.
Is that where Bahar went after Lotus?

Cheers,
Robin

Looks very nice but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on an Alfa - ever.

The fall in sales is more to do with the line up changing than anything else.
2011 saw the end of the 159 with no replacement (due next year I reckon) and the introduction of the not as nice looking (in my biased 159 owner eyes) Giulietta.

The 4C looks stunning, and as a mini 8C is a proper bargain, as a lightweight 1.8 turbo though, 50k+ seems a lot..

£52 - seriously - on an Alfa - you'd need to be braver than me!

My bro is on the waiting list...despite my best efforts. I think the 8C residuals are clouding his judgement..lol

Lovely looking motor but given the specs I think the Elise S would be on my shopping list instead and I'd pocket the rest. I'm not even going to bother comparing it to the Exige.

The Alfa MX5 look beautiful. I appreciate not in the same league as the 4C but will surely pinch some Mazda sales if they price it right, plus the Mk5 MX5 looks like a mid 80s american dog.
