Those pics have really made me want to do a factory tour (don't want to say, before it is too late!) but do we fancy a tour if I speak to Graeme to see what he can do for a March tour perhaps?

Dave
Sounds like you've now appointed yourself as organiser. :thumbsup

Dates? Late March?

Never seen a picture of a Krypton Evora which I thought looked that great really - love it on the S2 Exige but not the Evora.

It would appear that the Spyder is de-riguer choice for cancelled V6 orders

We cancelled the V6 on 22nd and started looking through our Plan B list (Aston V8, Audi R8, 911 GT3, AC Cobra & Mercedes C63) and purchased this on 24th.

Sad that we will be Lotus-less for a while but may get back in a V6 again.

Also big thanks to Chris on advice after spotting he has purchased one as well on here :thumbsup

Looks like Scottish Elise now hold 2% of the manual UK Spyders & 1% of the UK allocation.

We will still be going to the LEGs meets as even though we don't have a Lotus we still have the brand at heart. Just a pity the V6 did not work out.

Didn't see that coming George I thought you were fairly committed to the V6? A shame that it didn't work out but I can understand your frustration. You must have been quite close to delivery though? :?

Hope you enjoy the new car ( 2 Porker family now?)

Congrats George.

I'm sure you will have many great miles in the new motor.

Staying strong on this side....hopefully I'll have some good news in the coming weeks.

Congrats to Chris G and George. Those Spyder's are lovely :thumbsup . I had a real good look in and around one when the Boxster was up at Fort Kinnaird a few months ago. You have both shown photos with the roof up but the double speedster style humps make the car look fantastic when the roof is off 8) . In fact I don't think the phots do it justice or show the curves as well as in the metal. Just lovely. Loving the Fuch style (? can't quite see clearly in the pic) wheels George. Where did you get it as doesn't look like Edinburgh showroom?

Cheers

DJ,

Trip down to Dick Lovett Porsche Swindon on Saturday to pick up the car and drive it up the road. Arrived back on Sunday.

The wheels are 19" Carrera II S wheels. The low weight ethos is for the slightly lighter Spyder wheels but also concerned about the number of potholes in Edinburgh for buckling them.

Mostly motorway on the way up but popped into see some friends in Moffat so took the A701 back, car felt nicely planted even in the greasy conditions and definitely not lacking in feedback. Buckets seat will defintely be used to hold ourselves in place when the better weather comes  I know people go on about Porsche quality but there is great tactility in the switchgear and everything feels so right. D

Very impressed so far and can't wait to get the roof off.
