Low 20s is acceptable but teens as I know from the Aston is regular trips to the petrol station.
Having looked at these deals for myself and done a bit of research on mpg, you'd need to go in to it expecting 18mpg overall, any more would be a bonus. I have read of 16mpg average.

Depends how big you are in Cranes, G

Merc site is a bit of a pain to get to the right parts:

Looks like there could now be an impromptu S.Elise's meet at Western Mercedes at this rate. They will be thinking that Danny Bahar is now back and come up with a new form of advertising with a "Lotus Flashmob" :o

I do about 9000 miles so assuming C63 18mpg vs 24mpg from the Exige difference is:

C63: £3179.99
EV6: £2384.99
Dif: £795 per year on fuel

So that's about one extra fill up a month which isn't too bad considering it is a V8 and can seat 4.

I would never touch a Merc lease deal after being (nearly) stung for best part of a grand when we handed it back. It went quiet after I told them I would pay for whatever was on the collection drivers pick- up inspection, 1 piece of damaged trim, never heard anything else, disappointingly not even an acceptance that they were no longer looking for £975 from us.
They basically expected the car back in showroom condition and according to them any work not carried out by a Merc approved repairer will not be accepted.
We had all four wheels refurbed the day before pick up and they wanted £150 for each wheel as they were not done by a Merc approved technician.

If you want a Merc lease deal, factor in paint repair warranty, wheel and tyre insurance, interior treatment and anything else they offer at point of sale. Anything not taken seems to incur cost at the end of the lease.

Having thought things through with regards to the whole will it/won't it happen regarding the Exige and with all the information I've had to date, I've taken the descion to not worry anymore and stick with things as they are.

Having thought about it there is no other car I truly want to have in this price bracket. It's the Exige or the Europa stays nothing else will do. I also have (to me) the added benefit that the order is with MMC and I have full confidnece that whatever happens MMC (Craig & Brandon) will do everything within their power to look after me.
Besides if anything goes wrong they'll have to deal with the Mrs and I know they don't want that ;)

Roll on the Exige!

Glad to hear that you have made the decision to go with the Exige :thumbsup

If there are delays (and I honestly hope that is not the case) using the Europa is not exactly a hardship :D

Was looking at C63 & new M5 leasing deals...... should really concentrate on demolishing my mortgage first though :D

7 series goes back at the end of the month - its been awesome - how we are gong to miss it, but dont really fancy another one.

Some the the Merc lease deals are crazy cheap at the moment.

Think we will run one car less to see how I get on actually using the cars we have more, so I dont continually have them going flat...ffs

I get about 18mpg average in the E63, will quite happily do 22-24 mpg on long motorway runs.

ChrisG wrote:As some of you might be aware I had a deposit down on a V6 Exige last year however, after the build moved out a number of times and with no firm schedule at the time, I cancelled my order. I still thought about going for one for a good while after but, cutting a long story short, I ended up going down the Porsche route and went for a Boxster Spyder. It's a manual with sports exhaust, bucket seats and not too much else. Think of this thing as a mix of a Porsche, Lotus and Caterham :) Reasonable power, lighter weight, well set up, well built etc. With only 100-ish manual Spyders and 110 PDK's I'm hoping it has decent residuals too. I picked it up at the back end of last week and first impressions are very, very good.
