That's me booked. I'd rather not have seen the cost breakdown though!
Are we not better just getting one way ferries and coming back into Newcastle. It would shave the best part of 150 miles off the way back

You can book it however suits you - I'm very likely to come back via the channel tunnel as I hate the ferries :-)

I may yet also go outbound on the channel tunnel because the cost of the ticket is free (to get a cheap one-way you end up buying a dodgy return and never using the other half anyway) and there is no rush to get there as we have a whole day to travel ... haven't had a chance to ruminate over the logistics plus pain of driving in England vs pain of getting a ferry ;-)

Cheers,
Robin

Edit: Your costs will be much higher with that petrol guzzling s/c toyota engine :-)

We got 45 MPG the last time on our way up the road, kept it off the supercharger, mind you, that wod have resulted in 50+ with a K.

Well I don't know why the 211 is so much better than my old 240 Exige - I could get 30mph, just, by sitting at 70mph, constant throttle! I manage 45 in Egor as long as I keep RPM below 4,000. I don't think I could be arsed going much slower to get any better range - eventually the bladder needs emptying anyway ;-)

Cheers,
Robin

I think the 1.2 yaris engine and motorway cruiser final drive drive combo make it very economical.

Cadwell Park is one of those tracks I've always wanted to drive, so as part of my promise to myself to do more track stuff in 2013, I'm hoping to do the Cadwell day in March as my first track venture down south. Signed up to LoT fine but having some issues booking the trackday but will sort it out. The Spa entension sounds awesome but beyond my budget.

:cheers

:-) Jo at Lotus On Track is very helpful so I am sure you'll get the booking sorted. Cadwell is a great track and I'm sure you won't be the only one that does just Cadwell.

Robin

Pretty sure I'll make Cadwell but afraid I won't make Spa...........I'm also pretty sure I'll be gutted heading back to Aberdeen when most of you will be heading off to Spa.

I think I can make Cadwell too - I don't think I can make Spa though.

(I'll try and get the brakes fixed before i go this time, rather than after and during :D :D ).

What's the view on pre-Cadwell ... are people going to head there on the day (0300 departure from Edinburgh, approx) or should we try and find somewhere easy to stay that doesn't leave too many miles to do on the day? Roads might be quite busy on Friday (it is Good Friday, after all), though perhaps people will head off on Thursday night or early Friday if Friday is a public holiday?

BTW, I booked the ferry Hull->Rotterdam one way for 170 car, 2 people, 2-berth cabin. Haven't yet decided on the ring, but either way I won't be coming back on the Rotterdam->Hull ferry ;-)

Cheers,
Robin
