Sky deal is on again - but this time existing customers can get movies or sports and movies half price if they've got the basic packages. :thumbsup

Numptie question so apologies in advance (and yes, I know that you don't make the offers etc) ...

Does the above bit mean that I, currently paying £61/month for all the channels but not bothered to get HD cause in reality we never really watch telly (yeah, yeah, yeah iknow it makes no sense) can get something off/free/discounted/cheap?

I just added sports recently for 3 months half price, is there anything I can do from where I stand at the moment? Cancel and take the deal or such like?

EDIT :

Sorry wasn't clear in original post. Existing customers who dont currently have a package with sports and movies can upgrade to sports and movies for half price

Monthly Pricing Offer price Normal price
Sky Movies Pack £8.00 £16.00
Sky Movies and Sky Sports Pack £14.00 £28.00
Sky Movies, Sky Sports & ESPN Pack £18.50 £37.00

If you're currently paying money for those packages then, quite understandably, i can't get you them for cheaper. I think that's fair.

I have benefitted from Martin's deals so far, but screwed up on the last one.

I used to pay £26/month but when that ran out it was doubled. Went to cancel but they offered a new deal, £36/month for Sky if I took out phone and rental for six months, then it would double. Unfortunately I then took out Multiroom at month five only to find out I was now tied in for an extra 12 months which of course I had not been told, and the next month it went up to £90 which I am now tied into for a year.

Moral of the story is, be very careful of any additions you put on, or you will be joining me.

Tut all calls are recorded and you should have been made aware of the T&c's. If you feel that you were mislead then the complaint will be treated very seriously. We don't tolerate mis-selling.

Didn't think so Martin - no harm in asking tho thanks!

Might have to stomach the extra £10.25/month but will wait 'til a few renovations are complete and a rejig of the tv numbers are completed :thumbsup

12month, brilliant, thought that might be a 3 or 6 month thing,

Just phone up and ask for it or rub a magic lamp?

Cheers
