Oi, AA, stop wasting postage

Post by mikeep » Fri Jun 01, 2012 11:33 am

Same old Same old.

AA renewal quote was well over what I paid last year, even with their 30% discount.

Onto the RAC site to get like for like quote which is actually less than what I paid the AA last year.

Phone the AA to say I'm off the the RAC, what you gonna do about it. Hey presto, able to match the price.

Waste of paper and postage sending me the renewal docs out again!!

He did have the decency to apologise for me having to do the same sh*t every year!

Mine is due this month, so needless to say it is over £100 more than last year, so I will have to go through the usual process.

On the basis that x % of the population can't be fecked to either phone up and challenge the quote or shop around for a better deal the insurance company are £££ in the bank.

Exactly, fortunately most on here do not fall into that category.

My Insurance renewal is a nightmare as it falls on the 24th December :(
Last year I had Admiral Multi-Car for the S-Ma, A4 and Golf GTi and my renewal was £1100. After a bit of research and quoting Quidco I managed to get the same cover from Aviva for only £615 :thumbsup

I renewed my AA cover yesterday - after 'negotiation' ( I.e. threatening to leave ) £63 off quoted price, and then by using AA credit card points, annual cost to me for 2 people, recovery, home start and P&L for the Lotus - £10.31

Insurance renewal just in for N3 with REIS. It has been £320 for the past few years, but now £404 due to the number of windscreen claims. Cover has increased to £1,000 pounds and excess increased to £100.

For the first time I am going to get a quote from elsewhere. What was the name of the company that used to be partners with them?
