Excellent.

I'm just glad no-one here started any of those rumours. Talk about risks of legal action...!!!!

Go Lotus, you show 'em, chaps. Fingers crossed for better news to come.

Just read the above article, and it certainly is an eye opener after what's been floating about recently.
Let's hope that everyone connected with Lotus are striving to keep this great little company heading in the correct direction.

I just hope that it's not like a football club giving their manager full support and backing at a time of poor results, then having them "leave by mutual consent" the very next week.

Steve.

That has to be the most bizarre press release I've read in years! Someone at Lotus been on the sauce before they wrote that?

Harry from Evo tweeted that it read as though Mr Bahar had written it himself! Purely conjecture of course :)

What a completey bizarre statement from Lotus - totally unprofessional in tone, although I must say I like its bluntness. Wouldn't surprise me at all it was written in a fit of peak by DB as it would never in a million years have come from the bland pen of a full time PR manager. Rather than allaying my fears it leads me to believe even more that they really are in the sh*t :?

I can not even be bothered reading it all anymore.

It is so bloody convoluted and ridiculous that anything could happen and probably will. The combinations of who owns what, what it is called, and what it will be called next week, has become farcical.

Like all of us, I just hope Lotus, as in Hethel, will be able to continue building our cars, but I would not bet money on it, unlike last weeks donkey.

I'd agree with Mr Metcalfe, Bahar bashed that out over a lovely bottle of red, a bit pent up, bashing it out on his MBP in his rented Norfolk pad!

Maybe not the most professional but better than any corporate baws, but not sure what DRB Hicom will think of it and him?!

I rather liked that release. I have no truck with whether Our Danny wrote it or not. How refreshing. How Heineken :-)

If Lotus thought like the rest of the car world we'd never have had the Elise. And thus not this community either. I raise my glass to the crazy turnip farmers, personally. :cheers

And I especially wish Graeme well. I fear he has to remain fairly silent on what's going down?

Come to think of it. Graeme was in Marketing before he was in Sales. Graeme...did you write that? High on turnip moonshine, perchance? ;-)

I always believe the best response is to say nothing at all. I don't think that release paints them in a good light at all.

One minute they are asking us to believe that they are a big company with bigger aspirations and the next they release something that makes them sound like a two bit outfit with a massive chip on their shoulder.

I hope they do well, I really do but that wasn't the way to handle it IMHO.
