For me..
Premium Pack Sport Suedetex £1500
Race Pack £2000
Convenience Pack £350
Air Conditioning £1100
Rear Parking Sensors £350
Heated Seats £350
Crossbar & Harness Mounts £700
Motorsport Paint £1800
EDIT - Before I get slated
The heated seats and parking sensors would be added since they arent that expensive when compared to the price of the car, and would be a nice to have..

For me:
Premium Pack Sport Suedetex £1500
Air Conditioning £1100
Rear Parking Sensors £350 ( much cheaper than cracking the rear when parking )
Heated Seats £350 ( these will be golden come winter time - I already drive the Europa all year round)
Metallic Paint £600
Nice to have: (these would depend on the deposit I had at the time)
Race pack £2000
Premium Paint £1200

Re: 2012 Exige S - What options would you add
I'd take advice from Mr Robertson on the 'essential' resale options - When I nearly bought a new 997 back in 2005, I'd got as far as spec'ing the thing - Salesman reckoned they'd be unsellable secondhand without the a/c plus nav & phone.
(Obviously there's a degree of upselling and BS going on, but there is an element of truth in what he said, judging by how long bogo spec cars hang around for sale, when compared to those with a few choice options...)
FWIW, the spec you've picked seems pretty spot on - Although I'd ditch the Metallic Paint / Heated Seats...(Go for Ebony black, and garage it over the winter!)

The heated seats I could quite easily live without, probably should have put them in the nice to have section but at £350 it would keep the Mrs much happier.Fluoxetine wrote:I'd take advice from Mr Robertson on the 'essential' resale options - When I nearly bought a new 997 back in 2005, I'd got as far as spec'ing the thing - Salesman reckoned they'd be unsellable secondhand without the a/c plus nav & phone.

As for the colour I selected Metallic as I assumed that was what Starlight black was. There isn't Ebony black as an option. The only other black is the Motorsport one but I'm not actually sure why that finish is so expensive. I was tempted by yellow as its a standard colour but if I bought this car it would be with me for years to come (5 - 10 years) might look like I'm having a mid life crisis if I'm driving a yellow car when I reach 35

The Race pack is the one that I'm struggling with with regards to resale should I ever have to sell the car earlier than I want to. Not sure if it would be considered vital or not to most people.
EDIT: just thought if I went for yellow I could always wrap it black in years to come.

Re: 2012 Exige S - What options would you add
i have one on order but i can't even remember what i have spec'd tbh.. i haven't spec'd race pack or trofeo etc and i think the Carbon pack has now been discontinued for the first batch of cars due to quality of carbon from suppliers - i heard this somewhere so can't back up the validity of it.. also if you order the premium interior the heated seats are included so not much choice i don't think...

I'd have thought Race Pack would be a good one for Resale?
I'd also pay for a good ipod interface..

Would love heated seats in N3, doubt if they add more than a few ounces, but that is a top off, doubt if I would bother in an Exige.

They come included with the premium and sport premium packs, so if you go for any seat upgrade, they're going to be heated!
