I think DC should provide his own local commentary live n direct from the DC Diner in Twynholm. "Yo this is Crazy Dave comin' atcha from downtown Twynholm, bo selecta, shamow"

Mr Momo wrote:So how is this saving money if "the team" are at all the races ? TV coverage supplied by Bernie, so it's justabout how much money Sky cans stump up compared with the Beeb.

Bernie is a money grabbing barsteward
Yep, this is all about the cost of the rights to show it live. The production costs are a fraction of the cost they will be paying for the rights to show the race live - the bulk of this is now shared with Sky and that's where the savings are. Ironically, we may see more money spent on pre-race features as F1 is still a ratings winner and will command a generous budget.

tut, all explained here. Think I read somewhere that if a team scores 1 constructors championship point then all there air freight is paid for by F1 not sure if it's correct though.

747 Cargoes confirmed in here (albeit it's really just a DHL advert)...

Looks as if the Sky coverage is going to be enhanced though, all practice sessions shown and choose your viewing cameras.

When I watch on TV I have the F1 site on the laptop so that I can watch the in car viewing.

From a sky buddy.

"BBC couldn't afford whole thing so Bernie was going to give them half. Sky are creating a new channel (408) and running it non-stop over race weekends. So you boys will be able to fill your boots. Bernie supplies the tv feeds - so doubt it will be 3D yet - think they're working on it though. "

Glad i have the HD pack with my sky now, good to get another 'free' channel and helps justify the payments. Think sky coverage could end up being good, maybe them a few races first though to get it right.

Agreed. Hey ho.

I'm not sure what will be worse next season... missing half the races live, or the smugness of Sky subscribers across the internet forums
