You'd have to ask Paul at Woodsport about the final conversion price. He wasn't sure if he was going to offer the conversion anymore due to the time it takes compared to his bread and butter conversions on the MR2s. I'm not sure if he's made up his mind yet, so best to ask.

thanks for the reply Kev , i actually saw ur avatar and thought u was the owner . Sorry .

Be a shame not to offer it after he has gone through all the effort of making jigs etc .

Its a shame he could buy some modified engine covers , and makeshift rear subframes ( like the audi conversion) . I Imagine there really time consuming to get right ?

Have you got yours back Kev ? how is it

Yeah it would be a shame if it wasn't offered to the market, but I can understand Pauls reasoning. I haven't spoke to him about the future of the conversion for a while so not sure if he's made a business decision yet. He might reply on the forum, if not, fire him an email.

I haven't got mine back yet, just waiting on the tax to be delivered and then Paul can take it out on the road. If all goes well I should be able to collect it in the next couple of weeks!! Can't wait!!!! :D :D

It's awesome!! but I've broke it already :( The alternator went pop, so hopefully I'll source one today.

I haven't opened it up fully yet, due to the weather heading up the road, but it drives really well. It's smooth as silk on the road, a bit of vibration when setting off and changing down the gears, but that's down to the paddle clutch. The paddle clutch is going to take some getting used to, especially when in traffic. The gear change is fairly stiff, which will need looking at, but Paul already has a plan for that. A few things need refining, which are to be expected. I just need to put the miles on it and see how it preforms and behaves.

The sound is :love :love :love

Overall I'm well chuffed :thumbsup

Why did you go for a paddle clutch anyway Kev? Alot of the MR2 conversions using that engine / gearbox get away fine with a standard NA clutch and uprated pressure plate, and they are significantly heavier cars - presume this will be tracked? I'm sure Paul will get the gear change sorted for you, as I personnally think the S54 gearbox is quite a sweet shifter (nicer than the GM one in my car anyway).
