I use it daily. I use it for corporate escalations, researching companies I wanted to work for, companies I plan on doing business with, candidates I am interviewing, people I am scheduled to meet (int & ext) etc.Dominic wrote:So, I have been on linked in for a few years. I have had sweet F.A. of any use from it. My email box is constantly being hammered with emails telling me that people have accepted my invitation (which I did not send in the first place), and loads of requests for connections from people that I have never heard of, and have no connection (out-with Linkedin). So for me, it is a real hassle with no worth. Is anyone getting anything positive from it? Maybe I am not using it correctly? I am very close to deleting my account from it. Facebook and SE have been far better for networking and finding new business for me.
Would be interested to hear others' thoughts on Linked recently.
I know our reception is getting a lot of unsolicited calls looking for me from recruitment consultants and my Linkedin "stats" are pretty high so guess they are harvesting it pretty hard.campbell wrote:I think you are unlucky, Dom...it does just what it says on the tin for me and I've never had a connection set up that I didn't ask for or accept. Hmm.
