If you're going to park it up, fine, but if you're going to keep driving it I would caution against just waiting until it breaks. The head will be well and truly shagged by then if it is leaking from combustion->coolant.

Cheers,
Robin

Pete, if you want, I/we'll be able take the head off it in 2 or 3 hours to let you know what the issue is?

But also bare in mind if you pull the head off you won't be able to use your AA P&L.

It is what it is. Local garage giving it a shot this time cos I can't be arsed going down to Newcastle...

Going to have the head taken off and have it sent to Sabre for testing/fixing.

Right what was that about cams?

They will be fine. however Rog now has some newmans cams that work very nicely with KR1 spec head provided you use some verniers to get the cam timing right. You will need to use a tweaked fuel pressure regulator to keep the fuelling safe at high RPM/full throttle and this will have an adverse affect on your fuel economy but otherwise probably does no harm.

I think you can put cams + verniers on without an Emerald. If you do anymore than that you'll be fretting about bottom end longevity anyway ....
