My 82 year old gran texts more than she calls with her mobile, although she did have a note with how to text written on it, held on with an elastic band for quite some time.

Yesterday morning, whilst over in St Andrews with my missus (walking the dog on the beach* then some shopping  ), spotted one of those new Bentley Mulsanne saloons in a very fetching bright metallic blue in the car park just across from the R&A, and down from the Golf Museum. Big, imposing brute of a thing, but then I suppose it has to be if they want it to complete with the RR Phantom. Front end is unusual with the huge grille and positioning of various lights.

Oh, and it had the reg: ML54 NNE which to me is a bit cheesy :D

*When on the beach, we saw 6 fighter jets (Tornados?) take off very quickly from Leuchars, with an apparent sense of purpose, like they weren't on a training run.

Made for a very stirring sight & sound...

Great little restaurant the Fennel :thumbsup

The owner has a Cobra if I remember correctly. Think when we spoke they were doing some kind of breakfast deal on a Sunday for owners of exotica - great way to promote your business :D

wasn't the spaniel that kept chasing the ball into the sea, retriving it then sititng down in the sea with it?

If you saw someone walking like they'd done a 20miler with 35lb the day before that was me, hence why no elise on the trip :-(

Saw a series 3 elise in silver parked further up, SE member?

This evening travelling south near the Laurencekirk turn off, a lovely red 246 Dino, going in the opposite direction :love

Looked beautifully petite and wonderfully proportioned on the road :thumbsup

Meant to post up after last weekend, was down in london with jj.

Notable spots driving around were a black Aston Martin Rapide and a Lime green RUF 911 which looked like an RGT8 but it wasnt.

Also dropped by an off street classic car garage which had a 993 GT2, chris evan's White Dino, Ferrari 512M, Ac cobra, E type the list goes on...

Ph tells me it's the only genuine Nart 275 GTB/4 in the uk, one of ten worldwide. $4m in 2005
A 275 GTB/4 N.A.R.T. Spider version was only available from a single American dealer, Luigi Chinetti, who was not satisfied with the 275 GTB/4. He asked Sergio Scaglietti and Enzo Ferrari to build a few Spider versions of the 275 GTB/4, which he bought for approximately $8,000 each; N.A.R.T. stood for Chinetti's North American Racing Team. In a contemporary road test, Road & Track commended the Spider as "the most satisfying sports car in the world."

It was to be a custom run of 25 cars straight from Scaglietti, but just 10 were built in 1967 and 1968, making this one of the most valuable Ferraris. Chassis number 09437 fetched $3.96m at auction in August 2005. The ten NART Spiders used chassis numbers 09437, 09751, 10139, 10219, 10249, 10453, 10691, 10709, 10749, and 11057. In the 1968 movie "The Thomas Crown Affair" the Ferrari driven by Faye Dunaway and being referred to as "one of those red Italian things" is actually the first of only ten Ferrari 275 GTS Spyder NART, serial number 09437. This particular car came second in its class in the 1968 12 hour of Sebring before being repainted and used for the movie. Steve McQueen liked the car so much, he wanted one for himself. He eventually ended up with serial number 10453. That car is today with collector Anthony Wang in NY, USA.
