If you can track down a Scoobysport tailbox (officially, "Hayward and Scott", IIRC), that'll do nicely.

It sounds a bit more purposeful than standard, yet isn't droney on m-ways nor toooo offensive under full load. It just, essentially, makes Impreza Turbos sound the way they should.

An ex-Prodrive tailbox would do the nearly the same but they tended to be a little quiet and never really saw the point in them, TBH.

What's the mileage and spec of this new mule, out of interest?

I'm going to feel like a car dealer when the spring comes (boxster/340r/Scooby most likely all for sale)

What I meant was, if Ali can't source a std box, the Scoobysport is an ideal alternative. Or indeed a Prodrive, in that case, of which there should be plenty knocking around as so many people will have changed to the badger set which you currently have installed

We haev snow now, the winter tyres are excellent compared to everything except 4x4s round here. Our road is compacted snow and slippery and these snowpro's lap it up, no worse than summer tyres in the wet accelerating and braking. Cornering you can feel the slip but it's only slight.
