EPOS/Tills (FALC)

Random question - but you never know with SE! :D

Anyone got any experience of EPOS/Till systems?

Looking to install a new till system in our rugby club, and I know next to nothing about them, but have been tasked with pricing and speccing it!

Someone's donating £1,500 to fund it on the provisio that it can be used to monitor the stock levels and it must be able to work over 2 bars.

We've got full Wifi and broadband installed if that makes a difference. Turnover is around £100k per annum, so a small(ish) club.

Anyone got any experience/advice?

I think Robin knows a thing or two about some bits of POS processing (maybe just the cards bit though...)

We do a lot of work with Zonal who supply pub/club oriented EPOS systems plus back office software to a number of well known chains as well as some smaller places (smaller football clubs ranging up to the entire JD Wetherspoons estate).

I have no idea whether two tills would be a sane thing to buy from them though - I'll ask tomorrow.

We do EPOS systems, as Paul and Doc rightly pointed out :D However the current version of our software (v2) is more focussed at FMCG aka Grocery, Coffee shops, Off License etc.

Zonal are Edinburgh based and specialise in bars etc, and I've never heard anything bad about them - but I suspect they'll be over your budget. Hardware from a tier 1 vendor (e.g. IBM, Fujitsu) is around the price you mentioned for only 1 till!

Feel free to give me a shout if you want any advice - the software we write isn't suited for your business (yet) so I'm not touting for business, just help out a fellow SEr :D
I recommend carlimits.com for driver training!
