What Car? (NLC)

Post by jen » Mon Jun 07, 2010 7:14 pm

Well guys, back to this again! After a couple of months humming and hawing about whether we should keep the Clio, I decided to sell it.

Sooooo, I traded it in for a nice 07 plate Mini Cooper in pepper white with black roof, wing mirrors and stripes. It has the Chili pack, storage pack, exterior mirrors pack and parking sensors!!! Again, shock. Lol!!!

I'm due to pick it up on Friday after school and Im soooooo excited!! Yay!! This week can't go in quick enough for me!! Cant wait!

I'm putting an early Type R Engine (b16) into a Mini next month, Cheez's Mini (Big Ginger B*stard). Although thats a proper Mini with proper rust and everything.

I let Jen pick the car, i haven't even seen it yet. So feck knows what condition its in. Jen says the condition is "white" :thumbsup

It has less features than the Clio, slower and it cost me £9500. Although i'm told its quite stylish, yay.

 you saw a picture of it, and I also said the wheels weren't marked and there were no car park dings, or scuffs. The only thing I didn't check was tyre tread.

And it has the same features as the Clio plus more. Ok, its slower, and it cost us more money, but think of the fuel saving costs and the fact that I love it!

Plus, Im worth it. <BG>

don't forget the tax will be cheaper to. Seems a good price for the spec of car, where did you get it from as there was a similar one at bmw aberdeen. Been looking at minis for the girlfriend as she likes them too.
Elise S - OMG its fast spec
Seat Leon FR+ Supercopa - BTCC Spec
MX5 Mk1 - turbo build spec

Enjoy it. Sounds a nice spec.
You can be reasonably confident that your money is safe should you not be able to kick the 9car/4yr car changing habit.

3 days to go!! :D

Thanks chaps!

I'm getting it from John Clark in Abz Neil, so prob the one you saw. There are only two there in white, one with black roof which is the one I am getting and the other has a chequered roof which Alab said he preferred, but it's dearer and I don't think it has as good a spec as mine. It's still on the website. I guess they won't take it off until I take it away?

This week is passing soooooooooo sloooowwwwwwlyyyyyyy!!!

Nice choice, White Minis are best, even when they are fake German things :p

I'd quite like a Honda in the front of my Mini...

Is that because a chequered roof makes it more manly? ;)

Alix loved her mini convertible and put 20k miles on it in 18 months. Truly dreadful for storage and rear leg room but yours shouldn't be so bad.

It was fun to drive too. Apparently.

Well, I am now officially part of the SE Wags Mini Owners Club!! :cheers

Picked her up this afternoon and I have fallen completely in love with her!! I love the colour, I love the driving position, I love how responsive the steering is, I love the fact you dont feel its about to roll over while going round a corner, I love the interior and all the wee buttons and toggles, I dont care that there isn't much room in the back or the boot, I just love, love, LOVE IT!!
<BG>

Its just soooooooo me. It feels a bit gutless going from a 172bhp clio, but I think the running costs will make up for that. I had to fill the Clio up with fuel twice a week, and hoping not to do that with this!

Sooooo, by the time I had finished scooting about and getting used to driving it, it had started to get dark, so I took a quick picture of it to show you all. I'll have to give it a good clean if the weather stays good over the weekend cos its dirty already!! The pic isnt very good as it was taken very quickly on my wee compact digital and I think on the wrong setting but I was freezing my ass off and wanted to get back in the house!!

Here she is:
