The front 42s didn't last much plus they cooked too easily (I am not heavy but I do take a lot of heavy pax

). The 14s are much better. Used to run 14s front and rear but now running 14s front and 42s rear as the 14s rears needed changing (the front changed sometime before the rear wore out and I had the rear ones left). I don't find the balance too bad as I am insensitive but the 14s eat the discs. I am now down to about 3mm left on the outside of the pads so the inside must be close to the change time.
The last KH session was hot but I've never cooked the 14s before that. I suspect this was caused by too much heat transfer by the thin pads. The brakes were smoking & nearly on fire. In any case, I now need to bleed the fluid and change pads.
Dan the next time I change the disc, I will go for the ones you recommend. Thanks again for your input, as always

Scotty, coming from you that is very reassuring. I thought of the CL pads as they seemed to be better value than the 14s/42s. How much for the rear and front? Is RC6 better than the 8? Not really bothered with the noise as I mostly use the CR for tracking.
Neil, which compound did you get?
