Enjoy picking up the Exige Gooldie - let us know how you get on.
Now 1 day into Lotus ownership and all is going very well. I think S has seen more rain and wind in the last 9 hours than in her first year!! Sods law I pick S up and the heavens decide not to play ball. Pleased to say not a single drop of water into the cabin, apart from when opening the door and met with horizontal rain as I pull up in Tyndrum visiting the parents.
Initial thoughts after driving in the wind and rain......
Grip is very good in the wet - running 26 psi front and 29 psi rear
Surprised how low speed you can do in 5th and it is very happy
Gearbox is great (and that is coming from someone who has been use to an s2k gearbox), feels well matched to the engine.
Looking forward to getting some dry roads.

Re: Hi from Fife
Glad you are enjoying the Loti. What tyres have you got? The pressures might be a tad too high.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Re: Hi from Fife
I'd drop the pressures a bit.
I'd use it gently in the wet too.....
With my luck you will be an experienced racer that has forgotten more about car handling than I know......thus making a fool of myself!
Enjoy!

Re: Hi from Fife
Thanks for the advice guys, being a newbie I just read the handbook information on the car re tyre pressure and as they are the standard fit Yoko's AD07's all round. Are you saying that Lotus quoted pressures are too high?
Re taking it easy, after 3.5 yrs driving an S2000 in wet conditions I know all about taking it easy, as clarkson says .... ooh la la in the wet!
Karen, you are not too far away - Dalgety Bay.

Re: Hi from Fife
Lotus spec will rip the centre out of the tyre and makes the steering/handling feel light.
Trial and error......try dropping them a bit and see what works for you.
Peter (with s/c burnt orange elise) lives up that way too!

Re: Hi from Fife
Will play around with the pressures and see how it feels. 23F / 25 R I see has been mentioned when I have done a search.
Cheers
