Go back 15 - 20 years and Old Deer was a little hotspot on Fridays

Aye the "lounge" or bit sticking out the back was a Disco on Friday and Saturday nights although Friday was the night most people went. When i started going there i was ... not long turned 16 and the age range went from about 16-21/22 id guess and it was just a mess people getting wasted left right and centre .

It usually got violent when 3 or more of the local places ended up there on the same night Mintlaw (us locals), Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Ellon all went to it and with 2 groups there there might be a small bit of hastle but 3 and there was 99.9% chance of trouble. In the 3-4 years i went there I'd guess I saw the place totally flattened 4 or 5 times including the DJ getting his records (yes records!!) knicked.

Was usually a really good night out but as it closed at 11 I think, then we used to walk or beg a lift from somebody (usually LB) to take us over to Tracks in Mintlaw.

A lot of people that have been to a Tut Towers I bet would never know that it used to be a den of drink and debortuary
