Cobra Stripes - opinions?

Post by offshorematt » Sun Sep 11, 2005 7:54 pm

Got bored of trying to sort the alternator and spent an hour Cobra striping the Liz. Was going to go yellow at some stage so thought I'd see how it looked with the white vinyl I had in the garage. Now I reckon I prefer the stripe in white. What do people think? Should the stripe stay or should I just revert to plain Racing Green? Or go the Type 23 wide yellow stripes that I originally wanted? Apologies for the quality of the pics...

At least it'll stop the stone chipping!

tbh i really like this! - think the white should stay at least for a few months and then if you fancy you can change to the typre 23 stripes.

my gf hates cobra stripes tho - too boy racer apparently!!

You must be hand with the vinyl and stanley knife!

Looks cool. Does it go up and over then down the back?

I guess they'll be staying for the near future then! There's a few untidy bits when you look real close and no it doesn't go down the back (yet...) but not a bad way to waste a couple of hours. The vinyl is just the Fablon sticky back stuff that you get from B & Q - it was left over from some ill advised door squares I used to run on an old XR2. Not hard to apply as long as you're patient...

With the car being fcuked, at least it wont get bug splattered!

Then if you get bored, wait till its all bug splats and peel them off and have "bug-splat inverted stripes". Could start a new trend!
