Little help...

Post by jamie » Thu Jun 15, 2006 7:49 pm

For driving in Europe what needs to be done for the lights - electrical tape alright or is there a kit?
Never taken the Exige over so never needed to do the lights.
Cheers :D

Have a look here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... =&t=235841
either find the little lever or get beam benders to stick on. Insulating tape will reduce the already poor light output.

You also need a warning triangle, spare bulbs, first aid kit etc -check the AA site.
If you are pulled and don't have them they can give you a fine.
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

As it is an S2 I dont think the beam benders work. there is a little level which changes the direction of the lights but it is tricky to get into, definately not a 2 minute job.

Sorry.

what Stephen says, and
if you go through France, 1 of those orange or yellow safety jackets per person !

I would not bother about the lights.

If you are on the ferry and upgrade to 1st class you get your light conversion kit free.

I don't bother with any of it :-) In germany you should have two warning triangles. WTF will you put two warning triangles in an Elise? I mean it's not as if it will break down is it ...

Cheers,
Robin
