CRAFT, DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY PROJECT

Post by ninja » Thu Sep 08, 2005 8:38 am

My dad's the head of a technical department at a secondary school in west lothian. we when i got my elise a couple of months ago it was my dad who had to drive it back up from northampton where i bought it (he's on my insurance) while i drove my company car back up.

now i knew my dad liked the car but it seems to have made more of an impression than i thought as he's now got his CDT class learning about the background, design, development etc etc of the elise. he can tell me all sorts of stuff about the car that i didn't know about and why it's been designed like that and the variations they wen't thru before they got it just perfect!

he's got power point presentations etc on it and has been talking the class thru these. but you know what would be really good???

if they could actually see an elise up close!

lol - like we couldn't see that coming a mile off

No doubt with pax rides for the whole class

I did my CDT Projects on cars (smart and A class), made the class much more interesting.

I see you brought the car in this morn ninja! You must pay $ in parking!...

If they can work out a suitable time (outside working hours), they could have a gander at mine... for the original chassis, not the hacked about S2 ;)

It's not exactly standard, but there you go.... 8)

40p per hour! that way i take advantage of the very generous 10p of 30 minutes bit rather than paying 10p per 10 minutes as usual. means i have to go out to the car all the time but i'm too tight fisted to do it otherwise.

my company car has no petrol in it and i just couldn't be bothered filling it up this morning - will do it tonight or tomorrow.

shug thanks for the kind offer - i'll pass this on

ninja -

Someone was doing that outside our bit on tuesday - wardens gave them a ticket as the maximum stay is 3 hours but the car had`nt moved all day.

So, even though they had paid, because they had been feeding the meter, they ticketed it!

When do they want to see one and where is the school? I work shifts and get pretty bored on nights.... If its not too far from me in St As (Or at the other end of a nice drive) they can have a poke about my S1. No garantee it'll be very clean mind! :)

It's almost standard wth only a short shifter and headlamp covers, even got the original konis... (yeah I know. )
