Thats not good . One question why do these people buy houses next to race tracks or for that matter airports and complain about the noise .

The times I have been there the guys running the day have been very jumpy about noise levels. Last time there everyone got a lecture on how to prevent tyre squealing as that apparently set off the noise meters which are wired to the local council. There is one particular old bint that has nothing better to do than phone up to complain about noise levels. The guy running the day did say that she even phoned up on a day when the TD was cancelled

To enable them to claim compensation for huge amounts of money and then increase the value of their house when the circuit is forced to close.
Surely the only way they could have a valid claim if the circuit/ airport appears after the houses.

The really strange one in Donington - you would think the locals would be used to a bit of noise from the airport

I spoke to the Noise Director at Donny when i was down there at a trackday.

A plane does have higher noise on take off only, but it only lasts for 20 seconds or so.

Trackdays are 8 hours of constant noise?

hmm...

I just signed up for LOT, and the KH + Croft day, put all my payment details in on paypal and my browser crashed...

No payment confirmation details as yet, is there any way I can check which track days i've signed up for on LOT so I can confirm if I have or not, and go book it again if I haven't :s ?

You get a confirmation from paypal , and LOT for your order . If you look at the attendees in the shop beside each track day you can see if your name is there .
