Think Paul Golding is trying to get a day close to the weekend but not looking good.

DONNIE SHOW 2009 - 17, 18, 19 April
It looks like the show is going to be moved to April with NO trackday on the weekend

Re: DONNIE SHOW 2009
So if Donnie trackday/show isnt a goer.. I cant see enough people being interested in going to the show from SE.. so we need to find something else to do this Spring.. track day double header at two venues maybe...

Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
						Re: DONNIE SHOW 2009
Why has it been moved?
Re: DONNIE SHOW 2009
Is the show really that important? Sure it was nice for a wee shifty at on Sunday morning, but don't think it would be a deal clincher for me.

Well... we need to find something to do on the Sunday..... driving off long distance first thing in the morning would not be a good idea for some of the party animals.... alegedly....Stewart wrote:Is the show really that important? This is a shame.
The show with trackday built-in was becoming a bit of a pilgrimmage for us all
Once upon a time the Show was deffo enough of a puller, but with the tracknuts dominating now (!) I agree losing the trackday makes it less of a prospect.
On the other hand...we still have the opportunity of a grand drive down and back, with some Lotus fun and some brilliant socialising thrown in...and surely one of the best curries in the UK?!
I would probably still go along...in fact was starting to scheme as to how to include the family in the trip overall too. We are quite fond of Nottingham. Bought an engagement ring there for a start

I agree with you Campbell. THe Lotus show at Donnie was always a good excuss to get away for the weekend. A good drive down, and the reward of a few beers when you get there. Perhaps we could all go Karting again, as there was this amazing Kart track not far from Nottingham. It was the biggest outdoor track i have ever seen. I can remember Lawrence lapping me with that grin on his face LOL. I am sure if we ask Robbie where it was he could check it out. As for the show i will be going, as i love looking for bargains. I have even started saving some money so Christine wont moan.

The name of the Kart circuit is PFI. It is an excellent circuit with good facilities - one of the best. We were there a few years ago with the Donny crowd and a good time was had by all. Incidentally, Jason and Tiff were on this circuit on Fifth Gear this morning. It might be repeated.

I remember going Karting on my first trip down...2000 I think it was. Mental!
we did it on the Friday, en route I think, but nothing stopping us using it to fill in a bit of Saturday if needs be...let's see how things pan out

Well it'll also be Scottish Elises' 10th birthday almost precisely around that time, so I guess we do have to do SOMETHING with the trip!
