I had the same prob last SIDC day Campbell, I managed to get Dunfermline Auto Tryre Centre to balance the front wheels the day before, and they done a great job, made a huge difference. Hope you get yours sorted.

Guys, I might have a pax coming up, does he need to get signed in..?

Cheers,
Pete :thumbsup

Anyone received John's pre-event email that contains the indemnity/self-scrutineering/groups etc yet? Wondering if my over-zealous spam-filter is working its magic again

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Thanks Andy :thumbsup

BTW, how was the Glenrothes Car Club evening last week..? I was going to pop up, after meeting one of the SE'rs at Falkland Garage that day, (Stewart I think?), but I had people coming round and couldn't make it.

P.S. I haven't seen that email from John yet, I'll check my Spam Filter tonight... :?

Cheers,
Pete :D

Hey Pete

Yeah it was a good night - spoiled only by some muppet in a single seater that got the track closed for him twice for 10 minutes at a time.

SIDC should be a bit better than that though :thumbsup

I have a 2nd email with everything on it.
I finish work at 5-5.30 so everywhere is shut!
I got to my local place at 1735....they shut at 1730....the guys just shrugged........barstewaaaarrrrrrds!
This all comes from the last place that said they were experts.....and put the fronts to 32psi and looks like they forgot to balance them....
Now where are those petrol bombs!

:wave Yep, it was me. They did a good job of the geo, only took an hour as the camber was fine. Made an immediate difference but I do seem to have lost a little of the front end turn-in but reckon the new set up will be kinder to my front tyres.

The GMSC night was good and nice and warm - really scrubbed in my new toyos on the front.

P.S.
I received what appears to be John's second attempt at an email today. Did I miscount or are there really going to be 69 cars on track?

Does seem a bit busier bit I wouldn't worry about it, only a couple more cars than we are used to.

Yes I'm sorry but it will be a bit busier than normal. This was primarly due to a problem with our club shop. It kept on accepting orders after the alloted number of slots had been sold :( I was out of the country at the time, and by the time we found out, we were about 10 over.

As most of the extra cars are taking part in Time Attack, then they tend just to do about 5 or 6 laps at most and then come back in. Most have fuel tanks that only allow them a few laps.

I can only apologise in advance if the track is busier than normal, but I felt it would be horribly unfair to those who bought a slot to be told some weeks later that there was an error and thay didn't have a slot. Although a few people dropped out, most swapped/sold their slots to others and I was unable to reduce the overbooking by more than a couple, and no-one on the reserve list was allocated a slot.

Would not worry John.

Half of the woofters spend more time in the pit lane than on the track.

75% if it is wet.

Would have liked that Shug, but it's Clare's 20th birthday, so have to get back home.
