How does every one of jamies posts ends up as train of threads?
However he does have a point, almost everyone on here bought their car because of the looks as well as the handling. If not we would all be driving cats and atoms (not to miscall the styling but to emphasize their performance). If I hadnt met tut id almost certainly still have a very good condition S1 which looked great and she would be standard! BUT I certainly wouldnt have as much fun out of the car as Ive had, its clearly Horses for Courses.
Jamie in all honesty you MUST go to track day and see what your car is capable, I doubt very much youll even consider an S for quite some time. Cheers Craig.

J33ama, fair enough that you don't want to join meets, runs or trackdays.

But you seem to imply that you're somehow different form the rest of us, hence why you don't want to join up. We're all different - SE isn't a bunch of sad old farts as you seem to think. Not everyone goes on every meet, or gets on with every person. I am a free man.

However, one thing we do have in common is that we generally try to be nice to each other on this forum. There are so many forums that descend into personal insults, and it's boring. It's refreshing not to have to deal with that here.

You seem to think everyone's got it in for you - have you wondered why, with all the people that have ever joined this forum, of all ages, job descriptions, income levels, etc. there is hardly ever any animosity? Doesn't that suggest, that maybe it's you who are winding people up, and you therefore should expect to reap what you sow?

Jamie (as I'm assuming that's your name)

What you do with your car is your business. You ask for advice on how to do an inadvisable thing, expect people to tell you it's inadvisable. If you get a bit of ribbing for it, respond in kind.

Personal insults are not tolerated. We've never banned anybody in SE and I'm not in favour of starting. I will lock any thread which has you personally assaulting other members though. It's generally a pretty easy-going place here, trying to f*ck that up (intentionally or otherwise) will not make you popular. If you're the sort of person who gets a perverse kick out of being disliked, then fair enough, but take it elsewhere.

I'm with Scott on this one..... :thumbsup everyone is different and are entitled to their own opinions about the car they drive - however as i have yet to meet anyone unpleasant on this forum (infact - i think i'd find it very hard to!!) and I can totally understand from reading this thread why there are a number of people who's fur has been ruffled by Jamie... which i think is a real shame! We're all here to help you Jamie and if you want to continue getting the support you've recieved you should maybe just keep your comments to yourself until people get to know you.
