Robin

If it was a mobile Gatso then you have no problem, no flash = no exceed.

A camera van you have no indication until/unless you get notification through the post, and it has to be within 14 days.

Tut,

It was a patrol car, parked on a flyover, therefore I'm assuming they were checking speeds but maybe not (maybe parked up eating their doughnuts or sumit)

you should be ok if it was a patrol car with a hair dryer as they would have pulled you over if they wanted to book you, tends to be the vans who carry the cameras although I have seen the traffic boys out of their estates with a camera on a tripod.

Patrol car on a flyover normally equals a Radar gun.

You can not get a NIP that way, they have to pursue you, stop you, then show you on the gun the speed that you were doing.

The scenarios in general are below 95, they will give you a ticket for 3 points and a £60 fine. 95-100 will be a ticket, but reported, and you then wait upto 6 months for for the letter giving you the date of your court appearance.

Over 100 is similar, but normally incurs a dangerous driving charge as well as the speeding, which you then try to get downgraded to careless driving to avoid a ban.
