Seasonal Story, The turkey and the elise owner

Post by Mikie711 » Sun Oct 28, 2007 8:04 am

Heard a funny story 'bout a guy legging it from the country house in Methlick with a turkey. Apparently he comes out of the bar, grabs the turkey and runs out the door.

Was a while ago

Drove an Elise

Anybody know who it might be!!!!!!

Twas not Methlick, it was just outside Old Deer, The Country Park Hotel. Must have been 10 years ago now.

The family were in Australia, and the Hotel has a Carvery on a Sunday. I used to go in for a pint, had a few, got hungry, did not want a full meal, Chef had gone back into the kitchen for more tatties, so I grabbed a turkey leg and started to leave.

However a waitress saw me, raised the alarm, next minute the whole Hotel staff were after me. Aden Country Park is directly across the road so I legged it in, ran for a while, then sat down behind a fallen tree and ate it.

Fortunately the Hotel changed hands shortly after so I was able to use it again. Good pint of real ale.

Where the hell did you get that story from Mikie, as it was two years before I bought the Elise?

Happend to mention to our night baker, on the rig, that I had bought an elise. She told me about this guy that stays near her that has one with a distinctive reg number and I realised it was you.
Then she told me the chicken story.

Small world or what!!

Hope you will be a knockhill on the 24th so I get a chance to meet the famous tut!!!
