I preferred the original!

Looks lovely but the pre-clean N1 had more character.

Still, gives you a new car to abuse :D

ps pics of car bra urgently required.

Looks great Tut 8)

I was lucky to see the original N1 TUT in the flesh, in fact I took that very picture at the Spittal on the VX run we did back in '05. The stuff of legend!!

Is Alan a commercial entity or an enthusiast/hobbyist doing a favour to a mate?! Or a bit of both?

I wouldn't put a car bra on Tut!

After two trips in through the graveltrap called Scotland, I can vouch for armourfend or similar. :thumbsup

All paint surfaces which were not covered are chipped now, but everything which was covered with armourfend looks like it's untouched.
Really works great!

Tut

End of an Era

The "Before" version was unique and would always be recognised Europe Wide

I hereby sentence you to drive the Crieff - Aberfeldy road non stop (It is covered in loose chips) for two weeks .........at a reasonable lick .....or until such times as the textured finish returns :drive

Yvo

Thought about Armourfend or Defendal, I think that we have both outlets in Aberdeen.

However, I would seriously consider the Bra for our road runs up here, on the main roads or track it is not really a problem.

I remember Craigs car soon after he first me and we went for a run. Stopped for a pee, and he saw the front of his car, and was close to tears. It has also happened to quite a few others on here as well.

Kenny and Iain

I know what you mean. I fought against it for years, in fact I bought the Bra four years ago in anticipation of the rebuild, but kept putting it off.

However structurally it was suffering, and the rear subframe had to be changed regardless, so had to bite the bullet

Although it is nice to have her looking like an Elise again, I now have an Azure blue car like thousands of others, whereas as you say, there was only one N1 TUT, and although there was very often a group around, she was never likely to get chavved, and I never had to bother about stone chipping or the odd bit of armco.

However I do not know what the near future holds, but the intention is to keep both cars and drive them for as long as I am able to, then pass them over to the boys when they get older.

At some stage after the kids are gone we will probably sell tut towers, a bit big for two of us, and I then maybe will buy a Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spyder as a second car...........
