Rental Caterham 7's

Anyone had any dealings with these folks?

Looking at the prices, it doesn't look too bad when you compare it to some of the daily rates of the supercar rental places

I guess if you were considering buying one, it would be the best way to get an extended test drive. Problem is, even if you weren't considering it you'd probably end up buying one when you got home

Are you seriously considering it Matt?
I'm putting the screen and doors back on next weekend so you're more than welcome to see what it's like with them on. I know you've been in the car with just the windscreen but that's worse than the aero.

Since you're into touring, aero is not recommended but with doors and windscreen it's a nice place to be.

They seem to have a good reputation here in Perth, and have three new cars. I saw them on display at one of the local business shows recently.

Seen them at KH a couple of times and they seem prety positive about the business. Aslo seen their cars floating around in Perth the last couple of times i've been there.

It's a good idea with the pre-recommended routes /sat nav in the cars too, and doesn't look too pricy

With windscreen & doors I did both Tut Towers & the 777 run. Only issue with the windscreen/door combo is that the rain falls on both the inside & outside of the screen - not a problem if you have a hood though.

Doesnt look too pricey atall. I quite fancy a blast in one to see what all the fuss is about; maybe next summer given the insurance terms.

Answer: Our insurers specify that they will only cover drivers over 25yrs and under 70yrs. So while some will just have to wait, to the others I can only say sorry â€“ itâ€™s not our decision.

Considering what? Buying a 7? Or renting one for a day?

Seriously tempted to take a rental for a blast but not convinced that the Caterham would be a suitable elise replacement what with my lack of garage etc.

Tony Gibson on jock7s lives in ABZ and has no garage - proof that it's do-able
