Carbon Footprint?

Post by ngaff1 » Sun Aug 26, 2007 11:00 pm

Neighbour popped over this afternoon and asked if I had considered the size of my carbon footprint. Didn't have a clue what he was talking about so got on with washing my four cars

I had a client who flew 100 tonnes of steel from Italy to Dubai to refit an oil rig! Carbon what?

Your feet would slip off the pedals if you had carbon feet , advise him a trusty pair of speed cats do the job.

On EasyJet tehy offer you the chance to be carbon nutural by paying them more money - they can then say they are all carbon friendly. If they were really worried they would pay it :(

and as you can only drive 1 at a time what difference does it make ?

it's like these protesters at heathrow, why ? aviation is only 6% ffs ! (and I liked how they all drove there in old clapped out cars with black reek pouring out the exhaust and danced around fires!!!)

let's face it nothing compares to china and it's 2 new coal fired powerstations that it opens every week

just tell your neighbour to f*** off

ohh and he flew the steel! jeez I don't know what the shipping is like dubai isn't that far! although we have to wait 6 weeks if memory serves me right.

rant over.

 Touched a nerve? I agree it's all a bit ridiculous - the whole concept appeared a couple of years ago - and now everyone is on about it!

They only flew the steel as it was needed the next day!

Can't stand tree huggers preaching at me :rage I wish they would get a their facts straight first.

A cyclist came past me at some traffic lights a few weeks ago, with a sign on the back of her bike saying 'No Oil'. I was tempted to put my window down & say to her; 'thanks, means I can burn more oil'

You should sent your neighbour to speek to some cattle; ask them to stop farting

It's the clueless ones that p!ss me off.

Was the same with the animal rights - with their leather shoes.

So, your neighbour, he's got solar panels, wind turbine, energy saving lights and forks out on the most energy efficient fridge, freezer, washing machine, boiler?

Sod off and get a life.

Mother natures is a clever old soul - she knows we are running short on coal & oil and is making the place warmer so we don't need it so much.

Bless her.
