Dodgy Hand Break, Out of Gear, Parked Cars, Knockhill....
OOft - shame mate. Could have been worse mind you, have seen them start to roll down the pitlane before (although that's with the hot brakes situation) which could get scary...

Another addition to the learning experience Gary - always leave the car in gear when parked, even if it's a supposedly flat piece of ground! I'm surprised your driving instructor never taught you that. At least you'll never forget to do that now!
Hope you get the scratches polished out.
Did you make it on track then?

To echo the comments above, Speed Sunday (nee hot hatch) days aren't really the best place for a track novice, I think a bright orange Lotus costing more than a lot of the other cars put together might be a bit of a target...

You can chock a wheel too.steve_weegie wrote: best way to keep the car stationary is to go into the pits after your cool down lap, let it idle for a minute then turn off the ignition and stick it in 2nd gear...
A TVR rolled away in the KH pitlane for the same reasons a few years back. Not sure of the outcome...if it had to go round any corners while freewheeling I guess it was certainly fecked

looks like Hot Hatch days are a tad on the dangerous side then. Is overtaking allowed or is it just that the blue Focus (RS?) is spinning and therefore the others are passing? Never been up there to spectate a hot hatch day (and not sure i'll ever bother now!)
