I just had the same conversation with Javelin and AON...

AON blokey said they need MSA approval to make sure there will be ambulances etc there... and javelin said there will be ambulances soooo....

gonna have another chat with AON in the morning.... will let you know how it goes....

Not gonna let a silly little thing like no insurance stop me going out though.... pah!

forgot to get insurance at KH last saturday.... helps focus your mind on the driving!!!!

Dave.

Phil,

Apparently Royal & Sun Alliance (the underwriters) will only approve insurance if the track itself has MSA approval..... it doesn't matter if Javelin do or not....

Have just spoken to the MSA and they told me that EF has not had a track licence for some time now so no... it's not approved....

Short Version = nae chance of AON covering us....

HTH..

Dave.

Dude - I think you're too hung up on insurance, to be honest.

The place is wide open and there is f**k all to hit. I dunno how mental you'd have to be to actually damage the car there.

But, if you won't do it uninsured, then it's your call. Seems a shame to miss out because of the perceived 'gamble' :(

NEalry posted a similar comment to Shug, but i wouldn't want to be the one to persuade you if something should happen.

I'll be keeping it in mind (lack of insurance)when I'm using mine, but it would be a shame if my yellow stablemate was to miss out :D :D

Hope you manage to get it resolved, and here's hoping we get a warmer version of todays weather :D :D

Still snowing like buggery up here. Unfortunately the Exige stayed at home today (snow about a foot deep in my car park)... :(

I'm hoping for a thaw before Saturday otherwise the journey down will be hairy...

yeah, id love to "let go" of the tiny percentage of chance that i could go off big or someone else could go into me...

but i cant - 20k of debt would ruin me at the mo.

fingers crossed AoN say ok - if not any advice on other 1day insurance peeps i should contact about insurance?

i know another question to ask any future possible insurance company now

Hey - in the same boat mate. If I stack it, it will have to get dumped in a corner and SORN'ed while I weep uncontrollably.

Although, I have the luxury of a banger to drive everyday if needs be.

Understand, dude.

Had to cancel as my car is in Duthiemotors, and the new clutch only arrived today.

Ali

Craig just called me to say that he can not even get his car out of the garage, and has a foot of level snow there, much more in drifts. Can not get either of our cars out of the drive, and Old Deer is at sea level.

This is what it's like around here at the moment. I've been out for a wee blast and it's great, dry roads, no-one about....

Hope it holds for you over the weekend! :D

Its the same in Musselburgh also, and I suspect EF also...enjoy your run you lucky sod!

:D

Current outlook from BBC suggests possible snow on Friday   (sh*t) and then sunny with clouds Sat, high 5C, low -4.

Visibility is rated at good, although that is expected to deteriorate in the bars of Edinburgh later on :D

Hope the BBC are forecasting with their usual accuracy

They did a survey here on the met man's predictions last year, he was 48% accurate, so you may as well guess.
