have signed up for paypal. so the final checkout page will be through them. what i am looking for is, since the products for sale r spread over 5 pages, i need a little memory system where people can buy items from the different pages and at the same time, a little display of the total amount spent.Sanjoy wrote:Need more info, you looking for something like actinic / google shop ?
i have been thru the google checkout, but i think paypal is far more straight forward though the charges r a little higher.

are you using a server side technology like PHP on your site, or have you just got a collection of static pages?
This should be pretty straightforward to do in PHP, and the linkup to paypal is a piece of cake IIRC.
Have you got hosting for your site sorted out? If so, they will be able to tell you what server side languages you can develop with.
Cheers,
Steve

Arriving broadside, in a cloud of smoke......
am not using PHP. all pages r HTML. havent tried PHP. is it similar to HTML? funny thing is i dont know HTML, but seem to be getting on well for the last few years.
there is an option of saving the HTML file as PHP in dreamweaver. i'll give it a shot today.
hosting the web site... well the domain name and space came free from my internet provider. the host is NOMINET. what is most important for me is the layout of the website. if the web host does not allow a particular script, well, then i will just change the host.
the web site is already up and running. but it is more of an information site (http://www.spicedabba.co.uk) than an interactive site. interactive site is designed, but no codes.
