Is he doing EF? If he is, he'll have to keep the roof up with that helmet. Says in the info pack that open top drivers must have a full face helmet or wear goggles

Always worried that one of those helmets would set me out as a Colin Macrae want-to-be!

Still, if you get to wear goggles ...... :D

Did anyone else get the Javelin stuff today, stating that track was opening at 7.30! :tired

Anyone chatted to Javelin about what time we should actually turn up. I think the briefing is due to start at 8.30

Still, here's to it :D :D

I may take you up on the offer as I'd have to leave here about 6:30 to get there for 8:00 :tard

I'll let you know by Thurs if that's ok?

Did anyone else notice the speel about exessive tyre squeal of deliberate power sliding will get you black flagged. We'll just have too see how strict this rule is enforced on the day. But for christs sake, it's a big fcuk off airfield. The perfect place ot do a bit of sliding about (within reason) and you wont hit anything or end up axle deep in gravel.

Hmmmmmm :?

I wouldn't fancy going off round any of the airfields I have w*rked at, full of huge soft marshy areas, hidden concrete and big ditches.....

But they are generally a bit wider so more room BEFORE you would go off. :)

Speil from Javelin doesn't sound good - fekin' draconian natzi's. I guess we'll just have to see how it's interpreted on the day. Massive oportunity for them to either make a good impression on Scottish trackdayers or piss everyone off...

Fingers crossed it just a load of chat and clauses that they "have" to cover, and that they'll be a bit more relaxed on the day.

If it stays as cold as it is this morning (beautiful day here though :D ) trying not to go sideways could require more skill than powersliding  :D

Current forecast suggests sun and clouds, with a low of -3c, and high of 4c.

Its meant to be sunny for the next few days, so here's hoping it holds :thumbsup
