As you know Neil, you anticipate as much as you can mechanically, but there is always some nasty little bugger of an item waiting to rear its ugly head.

Car is in at Johns today for an oil and filter change, plus a complete check of wheel bearings, ball joints, toe links, track rods, brakes, exhaust, and anything else we can think of.

Since April she has done the following trackdays:-

Alfa Club KH
Teeside
SIDC KH
TT KH
Cadwell
SIDC KH
Morgan Club KH

So she has either been well tested or well knackered.

SIDC this Saturday, then I think a rest before FF6. New windscreen to be fitted when they get it in, and new 48R's to go on next week.

I will be taking spare front and rear brake pads, 1xfront steel and 1xrear MMC disks, wheel bearing, ball joint, K-Seal, water tank and oil filler caps, spare set of keys, S/C belt, and assume others will carry similar, or even more items.

If I have missed anything, then please point out.

Campbell

I will always drive as quickly around the track as I can, or I would not enjoy it, but I have changed the method.

Now I am cutting down the number of continuous fast laps in similar company, then cruising around for a couple of laps, and joining in again with another group. Also staying out for shorter sessions, and maybe going out as a pax for a change. Life is also easier on the car with the S/C, just gears 3, 4, and 5, and slower gearchanges.

No one would call me a pessimist, but for a trip like FF6, three whole day trackdays, followed by a week in the Alps and all the driving there and back, it would be a miracle if the car did manage the whole trip without a non fixable breakdown.

However I live in hope and stranger things have happened.
