thinking of popping across soon, a little worried about the ramp on the ferry.
Hi there,
Wife is from Tobermory, so been over to Mull loads of times.
I do not have the splitter that you have with the exige, but i still reckon that you should be fine.
The ease of getting on the ferry depends on which ferry it is that you get. (normally either the isle of mull or the lord of the isles) It also depends on how high the tide is at time of sailing, and how well the captain parks it!
But fear not, you should be fine
Please do not hold me responsible when you rip your spltter off.
Your main concern should be avoiding some eedjit whacking their door off your car.. . . . the swines!!
Bob.

To be honest I never had any trouble on a whole range of ferries I used when I had my Elise. The main times I ever caught my standard Elise S2 (No splitter ect) was goinginto/out of petrol stations. Worst was one in the Isle of Man which made quite a bit of damage at night as I came out of the petrol station. So take them at 45 degrees as well

I was over there last year in the Elise S2 - no problems getting on & off the ferry, but be warned, some of the roads in Mull aren't up to much.
Generally they're OK from the ferry port up to Tobermory, but if you head the other way to Iona, or through the centre of the island, it's all single track and plenty of potholes.
Road surfaces aside though, it's a spectacular place.
Enjoy yourelf.

I did a lot of the single track one way roads, and I didnt really notice much in the way of potholes. Looking at the amazing scenery too much I bet...duggiesmith wrote:I was over there last year in the Elise S2 - no problems getting on & off the ferry, but be warned, some of the roads in Mull aren't up to much.

Anyone know the story of the poor lass who died in the Mull Rally? We stopped at her memorial, overlooking one of the nicest views I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Sun was shining hard that day.

I've got 95mm of clearance at the front and was OK going from Ft William over the Corran ferry then on to mull. I don't know what the ferry from Oban is like, but I'd think it would be better.
The roads around the island are rough, so you need a bit of concentration to make sure you don't ground on the central hump when there are potholes etc. Try not to take off or you can nose dive into the ground on the wee bridges.
