Dave.... it was one of the 1st things I ordered when I moved in to the house, 7ft slate bed with central ball return. She wanted the Gel Fireplace, I wanted the pool table.
She tends to work Fri/Sat nights so I stay in with the kids quite often... Kerrang on in the lounge, crank the Yammy Amp up and hit some balls. She keeps dumping her work stuff in there though and I kick it under the table.
More importantly, I have half a dozen optics lined up on the wall you can't see there
PS... JJ that is some seriously nice furniture mate.

lol... not what I guess you are thinking, thats for sure
... she sells jewellery... She used to be in pensions but gave up work when we had the kids. After 5yrs she got bored in the house so was thinking about a part time job in BSkyB or something, just to get out for a while. I thought that was a poor idea (and sh1t money also)
Anyway... she happened to stumble upon a party plan company that specialise in jewellery (mostly silver with precious and semi precious stones... hot diamonds and the like).
She was top seller in her 1st year with just going out once or twice a week to parties, is now a manager and gets 30% commission on her sales and 5% on the stuff her direct reports sell too... sweet. You'd be amazed how much these bored housewives spend at jewellery parties... the run up to X-mas is great !!

I decided to go ahead and order the bracket as per the attached link, collect it saturday.
The TV needs to be adjustable in that it can be angled left and right as per the pic below the TV will be mounted approx. where the newspaper is at the moment, anybody sitting in the seat just in view on the left would be looking at the side of the telly opposed to the screen !
The wall has wooden battens every 400mm vertically although I'm still toying with fixing through the plasterboard and straight onto the Brick

Think it might look pretty odd angled but better than not being able to see it. At least you're mounting it the right height, above the fireplace is the worst place for a TV IMO (sorry to anyone with it above their fireplace

).

Centre of telly should really be where your eyes are pointing when sitting and looking straight ahead .... especially with LCDs.....

Code: Select all
7ft slate bed with central ball return...crank the Yammy Amp up and hit some balls
What???
I seriously need to get up to date with modern living - you've got a ball return in your bed, and you hit your balls when your wife's out?
