Bonnet fell off!

Thought for the day:

Lubricate your bonnet hinge!

Mine jammed and then fell away as the old rivets parted company with the clam... :(

The hinge is agricultural to say the least and relys on bolts moving in nylon bushes. A bit of ptfe spray grease would have prevented this, so a lesson to you all:

There is always time for lubrication! :lol:

I have just wet assembled it with sikaflex and then used highlock rivets borrowed from work to mend it, should be good and solid forever now.

Yep - another piece of Lotarse engineering. Stu tidyed mine a good deal as it went when my car was with him, getting the engine done.
