Car sale - Where?
Looking for some advice. Have just finished my MSc course at uni, which has meant that I need a bigger car for my pending new job. Must have four seats and not two, which rules out my vx220.
Anyway I have put it on Pistonheads but am attracting loads of people wanting to swap other cars.
I am considering going down the ebay/autotrader route. However, I really don’t want to be contacted by folk from Nigeria asking me to cash cheques etc .
Other than Pistonheads, where should I advertise?

LOL, I wondered when someone would notice it.
I was really interested to see how the views would differ for the lotus page compared with the VX220 page.
Will probably take it off as I know it is a little cheeky.

People looking on Pistonheads are going to know what they are after I`d have thought. I got a lot of interest from both eBay and PH, but probably because it was a cheap car.
I got a lot more watchers on eBay after I put up the Pistonheads advert with a link to the eBay ad, then it sold 24hrs after I did that.

I think you could be right with your observations about PH JJ.
Did you sell your car on ebay using the auction style sale or did you use the classified advert?
Thanks Dom.
MSc in Geographical Informations Systems
Pending work will be working on environmental projects - Wind farms, EIA, SEA, urban regeneration. That sort of thing.
In terms of the Golf GTi it has not been taken off my list yet. I was very impressed with it that day I came out a run with you.

Wil is selling his car.
Again.
or is he

EDIT : Biggest problem with Pistonheads IMHO is the chance of getting someone to come this far north to buy the car.
Surely at £40 autotrader is worth a punt ?
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.
....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

I sold an AMG Merc in less than a week to a chap from London thru pistonheads...
It's my 1st point of advertising a car - free, so no hassle
