Wondering if it's local small time group having a half cocked stab at some sort of attack.
Only in Glasgow would the locals take on the attackers... go on the weegies

Dominic you are so right .A quote from the sky news website http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,, ... html?f=rss:Dominic wrote:Can't help but think that if it was a serious terror attack, once the car was on fire, it would have lots of explosives, and would have gone up big time.![]()

If only it'd happened elsewhere in the city.... then at least there would have been plenty of tooled-up weegies to deal with themDominic wrote:Can't help but think that if it was a serious terror attack, once the car was on fire, it would have lots of explosives, and would have gone up big time.![]()

I though the same dezzy !!dezzy wrote:I've been up and down from Glasgow Airport to Heathrow twice this week and got another couple of visits the week after next. Starting to think this jet-setting thing ain't all it's cracked up to be when sh*t like this happens! I guess we still don't know full story though . . .
When people try to get hold of explosives or their ingredients the authorities usually catch them.......hence the use of petrol at Glw and London.....or so me thinks????Dominic wrote:Can't help but think that if it was a serious terror attack, once the car was on fire, it would have lots of explosives, and would have gone up big time.![]()

Search dogs can detect explosives....but not petrol!
You are correct it was a couple of my collegues who disturbed him ,if he had even an ounce of common sense it would of been a different story .When it came down to it running somebody over was against their instincts. I heard they know who he was and he may have left the country.Kev wrote:Oh well, that'll be me and every other airport worker treated like the worlds worst terrorists again!!![]()

The two guys must be the terrorist’s version of the chuckle brothers. They didn't do very well, thankfully! To me, it looks like an amateurish copycat attempt, 2 idiots watching the news about the London attacks and thinking they want to change the world.
Surprised how long it took to get in the news. I found out just after 3, from our Ops dept, put on BBC news 24, it was well over half an hour before anything was reported about it.
Must admit, you lot down there aren't very good at setting fires. We had an aircraft damaged through an arson attack at Glasgow airport a couple of years ago. The guy place a jerry can on top of the wing. He didn't do very well either, a delaminated panel, a couple of melted windows and some paint damage. The worst of it was water damage from the fire service. Tenkfeet, I think it was a couple of your guys that disturbed the bloke and nearly run him over. Don’t think they ever caught the bloke.
