I'm chopping in the Exige for a 911...

Post by Meenrod » Tue Jun 26, 2007 11:53 am

Yup, I've made my mind up (the fact I can't get any kids in the back on the Exige might give you a clue why...) that the Exige has to go :(

I've had 2.5 years of Lotus ownership that I've really enjoyed and would love to continue but the thought of a 911 (964) or a pre '84 911 is keeping me smiling. Just need to find one now!

Keep your eye on the classifieds forum for the bits I'll take off it soon!

You`re pregnant  :D

Love the 964, although thats probably because the only one I have been in was one of 2 RHD RSR 3.6 Lightweights which was  fast!

Good luck hunting and look forward to seeing the new car.

As someone also now sometimes having kids/car problem, are there any of the RS 911s that have rear seats?? I thought they were all 2 seaters...

Just don't go Tiptronic - it's gash... especially on changedown under heavy braking.

Manual is the way to go in a 911, every time...

I'm still waiting on a 2+2 Lotus, suppose well just have to wait and find out if project Eagle or whatever its called comes to fruition  .

Even considerd an Excell but the baby seats dont fit in the back.

Do booster seats actually fit in the back of a 911???

Nope - I tried booster and standard forward facing baby seats. No go i'm afraid.

Just as well, as he would have got royally shafted with depreciation on his S2 Exige - buying new and selling after 1 year.

I remember reading a report on the 964RS (possibly Autocar a while back), and the general gist was great on track, but the suspension is so hard it is horrible to drive on most UK roads. If you must have a posh beetle, then an old 964 Turbo would be nice - mad, bad and dangerous
