Alton Towers - Sunday.

Post by EliseR » Fri Jun 22, 2007 10:43 pm

They are now selling UNLIMITED fast track tickets (up the exits all day long), but numbers are seriously restricted...

Just got two tickets for Sunday, can't wait. Probably short notice, but if anyone fancies tagging along - will be a blast 8) 8) 8) Rita Queen of Speed is super.

Gary and Claire.

I would rather have the numb bum, that pillow is awful.

How are you supposed to pull birds while sitting in that, you will look like some styleless, hemoroid suffering blind man!

Any good? I love Theme Parks, last year in four days we did... in order of my favourites at the time.

1: Thorpe Park
2: Alton Towers
3: Chessingtons
4: Lego Land
5: Drayton Manor

In reality, I would only visit the first 2 again. I had my son, the others mainly for his benefit.

This year I have done Loudon (crap), M&D's (crap), Blackpool (ACE. much better than it used to be). Planning on Alton Towers again for my HAG/STAG day, Thorpe & Blackpool again...

Oh and my Honeymoon, we are staying IN Portaventura near Barcelona! In otherwords, me and Claire especcially are Coaster Nuts. I went to NYC last year for the sole purpose of riding Kingda Ka, it was closed  Kingda Ka for those who dont know, tallest and fastest coater ever...stealth at Thorpe Park is the "mini" version of it, and it is the most intense ride I have ever been on. Can't wait to try Kingda in New Jersey.

Louden Castle is crap if you are a grown up but we went this week with Millie (Aged 2.5) and she loved it. There are height restrictions for most of the rides but she, at 0.9m, was able to go on enough to make the trip enjoyable.

Remember she likes the tractor ride (tractors on a captive track that you sit on).
And the Car ride (see tractor).
Especially the pony ride (see tractor).

No queues, falconry displays (Millie loved), very clean, great setting (the castle is very impressive).

Agree that as a grown up it would be disappointing though but if you have young kids a good day out.

It is a sad state of afairs but I live in kilmarnock went to school in galston (loudoun academy) and I have never been to Loudoun castle theme park. The school is next door btw I think I will need some sprogs first though and I am in no hurry for them, where would they sit ? the car only has 2 seats and I am not getting rid of her.
