Well that was KH at its most perverse.

Solid rain, then 8/8ths sun, more rain, quick flash of blue sky, bring back the rain, change in the wind and a drying track, no way, this is KH so bring back the rain, etc, etc...........

1300, end of session, brilliant sunshine. Even so, I really enjoyed it, my birthday gift of Maxsports from Robin were probably as good as anything out there, and I got in around 160 laps without spinning, though that was probably down to having pax for all but the last 20 mins.

Good to put a name to all the new faces, just wish I could remember the name of the lassie that reckoned it was better than sex, as she was certainly letting go vocally when looking sideways out of the window.

Tried to find you Dave, but did not see you all day. Hope you got some pax laps in.

Thanks from all of S_E to John once again for organising an excellent day, considering the weather conditions, the time lost to red flags could have been a lot worse.

Roll on Spring................

Cheers John!

Had the new toy up with me (on the back of a trailer) and to say it's a bit of a handful in the wet would be an understatement. Full dry race settings and ancient R rate dry weather tyres (can't remember the name but they are the forerunners to A084's) a seating position that just wasn't me and an unfamilar car (is that enough excuses) plus the weather made me really, really slow. I hope I never got in anyone's road to much.

Thanks to Jonathan for taking the car for a spin for me, I'm still at the bottom of a very steep learning curve, and making sure it behaved the way it should.

Should be a bucketload of fun once I get the car on a dry track with decent tyres and a fitted seat - even yesterday the turn in was great and the acceleration along the straight through that 6 speed box was phenomenal.

It was a weird but fun day alright. I had great fun driving the Caterham - it was as nervous as Mac was I think :)

and many thanks to Mandy for letting me have a few laps at the driving wheel of an Elise again. Pure magic and the first time I have spun someone else's car :D

Has anyone got any photos of me overtaking you lot in my diesel?

:D - Yeah, I suppose nerves did play a big part yesterday too. It really is quite different from driving an elise. There's no noticeable bodyroll, you can't feel and alterations to pitch (so can't tell how much your braking) and with the car so low and exposed you really do thing that your going much quicker than you really are.

2nd lap out I thought I was screaming along the little straight between the chicane & clarkes until I looked in my mirror and noticed Gareth was closing in
