Well I accomplished my mission of annihilating my tyres, with the help of some donuts in the bottom paddock. Ronnie remarked "you got your moneys worth out of them" when he took the bald 48's off :D

Weather was absolutely awful, cold wet and windy. I really struggled all day, didnt feel happy in the standing water at all. Just as a dry line started to appear the heavens opened again. Just the one spin at Clarks despite several attempts at the hairpin.

Good to see such a massive turn out from SE, roll on next year.

It was great meeeting everyone today and putting faces to some of you on the forum :D . It was also easily well worth leaving home at 06:15am my god that is early at the weekend. :tired

A very big thanks to Neil, Tut, Brian, Gareth, Callum and Robbie for the pax laps ( I hope I got all the names right). It was great to be in so many different cars and see first hand how to control a Lotus at high speed in dreadfully wet conditions, wicked driving guys. :drive

My face was beaming all the way home.

Thanks,

Ken.

Great day, even if the weather was pants. :D Huge thank you to Tut and Andy for some fantastic pax laps . . . I am in awe of the skill you guys have in catching those slides. You do it with such ease and calmness! 8) Thanks also to Andy and Kenny for giving my friend Stef a few pax laps too. She loved it and her face was beaming the whole way home. :thumbsup

As usual, it was also great to put more faces to names.

Cheers,
D

Good to meet a few new folks - even if I probably will forget your names before I meet you again - but I'll at least remember your faces, probably :-)

Thanks to Cammy, AndyG and Tut for the loans of cars - much appreciated, even if I did drive like driving miss daisy - it was slippy out there for sure - T1Rs the tyre of choice today I think ;-)

See you all soon,

Robin

Well....what a day, fairly eventful, and fooookin freezing.

A massive thanks to Si, Paul and Kenny for giving this pax vulture some good lapage, and I have to say Paul, that is an awesome bit of kit you have bought, incredibly quick and very well set up it seems, also complemented by the driver, who with confidence was heel and toeing, driving through at high speed, a section of track i could barely see at one point! Go for that respray - you know you want to! Oh and bin that roll cage, stick the pole up and use it for a better purpose indoors!

Tut, gutted i really am that you actually asked where i was for a pax, instead of me pestering, by the time i went to find you someone else had buckled up.

Andy mate....what can i say your wet arse was probably the least of your worries, and thanks again to Si for putting up with my rank chat all day and giving me a lift through!

Here is to 2007, it was good to actually meet some new SE'rs and speak to some old ones, here is to being able to being back on track hopefully by the end of Q1 next year.

Cheers,

Dave

Forgot to post the quote of the day . . .

"those pax laps in Tut's car were better than sex!"

I'll leave you to guess who said it  . . . Tut will be pleased to hear it was a female ;)

Question has to be asked, who she is having sex with?!

Dave (Jealous faction that I never got a pax with Tut, as would probably be saying the same!)

Thanks Gareth for the run down and back and to Tut and Mac for the drive of N1TUT and new Caterham. :)
Also thanks to all for the pax laps. Got some good 'helmet cam' footage which I'll have to edit at some point.

a quality day out!

Great turn out and I thought great driving all round. One of the best days I've had out there. Sideways is so much fun, and a knackered set of A048's are the way forward for the wet.
:D

Hope everyone got back safely. Just a shame its the last one of the year! :(
