Disengaging ABS
Do you know how to disengage the ABS in the Exige S?

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Short term......undo one of the front wheel speed sensor/clips at the disc....make sure you tuck it away!

Re: Disengaging ABS
The RS14 makes the ABS kick in more so I wanted to control the baking myslef by disengaging it.
I will have to see how it goes on Sat.

ABS has now been disconnected by removing the fuse (the red 10 amp fuse at no 12).

Do you notice a big difference? Ill have to remember to take allen keys fro track tomorrow. Went out last night and on bumpy b roads and it was really getting to me, whenever theres a gravelly surface its cutting and putting me completly out when entering the corner. Still had a bloody good time though

Ken, I am kind of used to fast cars without ABS as my XTR2 doesn't have one. Are you driving at KH tomorrow?

Re: Disengaging ABS
Hmmm...Have you seen the video on the Drivers Republic site, comparing the 2-11 / Atom / R500?
The 2-11 was the fastest round Anglesey by miles...(Over a second)...
And they attributed its extra pace (in part) to the ABS...They reckoned it was a very well judged system...
Is it the same setup in the Exige S?

Re: Disengaging ABS
May be the same......
I don't think the ABS on the Exige S is bad at all but the combination of the ABS, soft disks and RS14 isn't good as the disks can be distorted too easily (within an hour of track session).
