They are now not only doing a complete Honda conversion kit, but it can be split down into blocks and bought separately. Just had a long conversation with James, and he was very helpful with some questions of my own.

Yeah, Both Chris and James are helpfull.

I went for the Lite Kit but then added a few extra bits. I will post a few more pics tonight, got loads done. Sadly Jim@Tubular has just phonned and my exhaust won't be ready until tommorow (Hopefully). Ive got a few problems to iron out but can't as the cars just to loud.

Got the Car outside for the first time in 8 Months :D

No rear brakes so couldn't take it for a spin around the Street. So just rear brakes, interior and Paint and ill be back on the Road.

Here's some pics - If you look close enough you will see the Silver Sparkle Wisbones and DIY Zinc Plating Alister was going on about. Look even closer and you will see the 2 Calpiper Mount Bolts I Couldn't get anywhere

Anyone know a good painter in Aberdeen ? ahm Homer ahm.

Looks good Alan, even with the Gary Glitter.

When do you reckon she will be ready for a road run, need to get a few more cobwebs off after the Winter?

The bolts your looking for are either,

Bolt, M10 x 60, low cap head, adaptor plate to hub carrier for later type hub carriers with thro' bolts A111W7160F (2)
Bolt, M10 x 45, low cap head, adaptor plate to hub carrier for later type hub carriers with thro' bolts A111W7161F (2)
Flat washer for above A111C0080F (4)
Nut, M10 x 1.5 A089W3082F (4)

or

Bolt M10, low cap hd, adator plate to hub carrier, early type hub carriers with tapped holes A111W7142F (4)

From your photo it looks like you have the through bolts so the first ones would be the ones your after.

I haven't seen that thread. Bought a kit similar to the Frosts Kit (when i say similar, i really mean cheaper). Great results

Me and a mate done the lot in my conservitory last Saturday, with the aid of a few Beers.

Quick Update

I picked up my Exhaust from Jim at 2Bular, Don't think you can get any better quality.
Although Jim convinced me to go for an 8" System but it has a few clashes so he has agreed to make me a 7". Poor Man

Since i got the car to running temperature hit a few minor problems like Temp Gauge not working but all easy fixes.

Interested to hear if anyone has got a Hondata and where they got the ECU converted. Probably be my next purchase.

Cheers
Alan

Here is The Schematic I created as I Wired up my conversion. All you have to buy is a Junction Box, Plugs/Terminals and some wire, which comes to around £20.

A few people have used it now with good results but I take no responsability for the Information shown.

This is for a Brittish Engine (K20A2) with Brittish ECU (PRA). I also created a Wideband (PRC-ECU) Schematic - Which is how my car is wired up.

Best Of Luck

Quick Update.

Re furbished the Rear Calipers, not that easy a job may i add. Siezed bolts etc ...

Stripped them down and DEOX C the bare caliper. Anyone wanting to refurb anything steel should try some of that stuff. Great results and you can do it in your own garage. Few coats of paint and then fitted with new seals and slides.
Image

That allowed me to finally to get the rear of the car finished. Fitted new EBC discs with Pagid's with new handbrake cables and brake pipes. I made my brake pipes from Copper/nickel as first but it looked sh*t and really never liked the stuff. So ordered Steel pipes cut to correct length. Once they are on I can bleed the brakes and more importantly the Clutch.
Image

Got round to tidying up the rear wiring, this is an area where i think a lot of DIY Installs go wrong. Spent some time getting correct route and to make sure no wires touched anything (or will in 6 months time). All wires crimped with correct terminals and no joins.
Image

Had a few people say how clean the car looks. Truth is that it was in a real bad way, hence going this far. Here's a couple of pics to show you what i mean.

Already getting my interior re trimmed but that will take at least a month. Still trying to find a painter who does a good job at a reasonable rate, looks like it will be Burnt Orange. If your reading this TUT would still like to see N1 Tut to for the paint, if you don't mind. Anytime your passing Balmedie you can pop round.

Me and the Wife (Jen) have decided just to put the car on the road this year. So maybe see a few of you around Aberdeen, Falkirk and of Course Knock Hill

Cheers

Hi Alan,

Those Honda ECU connectors are not water proof I believe. The MEMS one was waterproof. I believe you will see some spray and condensation where that ECU is fitted - Neil had terrible trouble with running problems caused by corrosion of the ECU connectors on his old Honda conversion. You may need to provide a weather shield of some sort to keep the worst of the weather off the connectors.

Cheers,
Robin
